Patients with habit of tobacco having a non healing ulcer/ patch/proliferation/cauliflower like growth are indicative of having Squamous Cell Carcinoma. This is confirmed by a simple test called Biopsy performed under local anaesthesia. After diagnosis the patient is investigated by CT scan, blood and other investigations and taken for surgery. Complete rehabilitation of the patient can be done after surgery. This involves reconstruction of the resected jaw by the Fibula ( bone of the leg ). After a period of radiation and chemotherapy ( if required) the patient can be given a customised denture for maintaining the quality of life after Oral Cancer Surgery in Pune. In cases where the Fibula cannot be placed we reconstruct the oral cavity with the muscle of the chest ( Pectoralis Major )
